‘The Recess’ to vie at Vox Feminae filmfest

Iranian short flick ‘The Recess’ has made way to the Vox Feminae Festival currently underway in Croatia.

Written, produced and directed by Navid Nikkhah-Azad, the film will open the international competition section of the event on May 20.

The event has kicked off on May 7 and will wrap up on June 17, 2021.

‘The Recess’ tells us about Sahar who runs away from school to watch the football match of her beloved club.

Sahar, along with three of her friends, is planning to exit the school during the break in order to watch the match between Esteghlal FC and Al Ain FC at Azadi Sports Complex.

Mozhan Kordi, Reyhaneh Naieean, Niloufar Shokouhinia, and Ghazal Khalili are on the cast list.

Vox Feminae Festival is an international festival held annually, since 2007, in Zagreb, Croatia.

The event was founded with the aim to promote and increase the visibility of women's artistic achievements through the international competition film program, exhibitions and performances as well as workshops and educational content.
